But where IS Knotts Berry Farm? It's located in Buena Park, California on the site of a former barry farm, of course. The Knott family began growing and selling their berries, jams and pies from a roadside stand there in the 1920's. In the 1930's, Mrs. Knott opened a dining room for visitors. Her fried chicken dinners were so popular the Knott's built several shops and attractions in order to capitalize on the crowds of hungry diners.

Knotts Berry Farm Resort has grown to include luxurious lodgings. During the 1990s Knotts Berry Farm acquired the Buena Park Hotel. The hotel was then renovated by Radisson Hotels and renamed the Knotts Berry Farm Resort Hotel. The Knotts Berry Farm Resort has embraced the family friendly tone of the theme park but kept the comfortable, quality hotel standards that come with all Radisson properties.

Hotel amenities reflect this family oriented theme. Lighted tennis and basketball courts are available for guests to use. The warm southern California weather make the outdoor courts a popular activity at the resort. Of course there is a pool! It's even heated should the weather not cooperate. The pool also offers a children's water play area complete with splash pad!

If you are looking to host an event at the resort, Snoopy has a clubhouse located there. Complete with games and prizes, perfect for parties of up to 75. Snoopy himself also occasionally cruises the lobby greeting guests and interacting with his adoring fans.

For the parents, the hotel offers a nicely appointed and up-to-date fitness center. Also located in the fitness center are the sauna and steam room. Knott's Berry Farm Resort offers wireless internet access in all guest rooms. The Knott's Berry Farm theme park is within walking distance, but the hotel does offer a complimentary shuttle down the street to Mickey's place.

Also located in the hotel is the Amber Waves Restaurant. They specialize in American fare. Steaks, pasta, burgers and homemade desserts featuring berries!
